Cayucos
Last week I had a nice flight at Cayucos. I had to be back in Big Sur by six so I didn't have a lot of time. The wind was West to South West. I had not really flown Cayucos in that direction. I crossed to the North once and didn't find any lift on the hill below the dam so I booked it back.
Decided not to fly to the south bowl thinking it might be in the wind shadow. Max altitude was almost 1000 which is pretty good for the front hill. Pulled off a nice top landing so I didn't have to hike back up to the truck. Then when my glider was almost in the bag the wind tipped it over and the downtube broke. Damn this sport can be expensive sometimes.
